Description
Political polarization refers to the divergence of political opinions away from the center / neutral opinions towards ideological extremes. Political discussions can frequently become polarized, a phenomenon becoming more intense in social media discussions, such as Twitter. In polarized discussions, users tend to interact with other users having similar political opinions; this interaction reinforces their own beliefs and concurrently exposes them less to opposing (or neutral) opinions.
In the portal, we present results about the polarization in various hot greek political discussions on Twitter (e.g. υποκλοπές, ρεύμα, πανεπιστημιακή αστυνομία, etc.).
