Research Interests: Data science cutting edge topics with emphasis on Web 2.0 data networks and analytics, such as Social Tagging Systems, studying (i) the dynamics driving the generation and popularity of content in social networks, and (ii) the representation and storage of relationships between entities, such as users, resources, and metadata, with appropriate graph and evolving data models. Analysis and mining in social graph models resulted in the proposal of community detection algorithms for uncovering implicit groups of entities with similar characteristics or behaviors.
