The Data and Web Science Lab (Datalab) research lab of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is looking for a highly motivated Senior researcher / Technical project manager for employment in European H2020 and National R&D projects in the field of data science.

Role description
- Supervision of technical work and management of teams in the lab’s research projects (e.g,. co-define technical specifications, task allocation and supervision, technical deliverables, communication with partners, dissemination activities, project monitoring).
- Planning, creative thinking, and extending the lab’s agenda for novel research and innovation.
- Participation in the design and development of novel software tools/services/”products”.
- Participation in the lab’s efforts for acquiring funding (e.g., proposal writing).
Skills / qualifications
- Background in at least one of the fields: data science, Web science, software engineering, applied mathematics and statistics.
- PhD degree (preferred) or MSc degree in a relevant domain.
- +3 years of working experience within research projects.
- Experience in funding proposal preparation and writing.
- Proven communication, presentation and team management skills.
